Kaushik has been the Membership Officer of the Association since July 2020. Kaushik is also a Local Authority Governor at Hillside Infant School.

In October 2021, he was selected as a Council Candidate for the Ickenham and South Harefield Ward and was elected at the 2022 Local Elections. 

Outside of politics Kaushik is a long-suffering England cricket supporter and a Management Consultant by profession with a background in Finance and Economics.
