The strength and resilience of local businesses are vital to our national economy. Supporting businesses and encouraging them to innovate is essential to any vibrant, dynamic economy. I was therefore delighted to raise one such local business, Code Ninjas on Bridge Street in Pinner, during oral questions to the Treasury.
Praising the innovation of the owners behind the business, I asked the Minister what steps he was doing to help similar businesses up and down the country to continue to grow.
Responding to my question, Minister Richard Fueller, outlined the support that successive Conservative Governments have given to help stimulate growth. As the Minister outlined, there has been a significant uplift in R&D spending and has recently outlined the funding involved in the Government’s plan for growth.
