The return to school in September for me signifies the countdown to the festive period and I hope that we can start this with a lot more promise than last year. With this in mind, I am delighted to have written to primary and junior schools in the constituency this week to invite them to enter this year's Christmas Card Competition. 

You may be aware that this was launched for the first time in Ruislip, Northwood and Pinner last year and the winning design (pictured), by Joshua aged 9 from Northwood Hills, was printed and sent to local stakeholders, including schools and healthcare providers, to wish them a Merry Christmas from their Member of Parliament. 

In case of any interest to children either at school or at home, the theme this year will be Local Wildlife. All entries should be sent to my constituency office at 10 Village Way, Pinner, HA5 5AF with the child’s full name, school and age on the back of the design by Friday 5 November.
