I recently had the pleasure of leading a Westminster Hall debate to commemorate World Social Work Day 2021. It was an honour to lead this debate and pay special thanks to all the incredible work done by social workers. During the debate we heard some very emotional and personal stories from other Members and there was a strong sense of cross-party good will and desire for higher recognition of the professional contribution that social workers make.
